CANCELLATION AND RETURN POLICY

Last updated: August 2026

1. CUSTOMERS IN SWITZERLAND

Swiss law generally does not provide for a general statutory right of withdrawal or return for ordinary online purchases.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in an individual case, 5LIBER-MANUFAKTUR therefore does not grant an additional voluntary right of withdrawal, return, or exchange solely because a customer has changed their mind.

Mandatory statutory rights, in particular rights relating to defective, damaged, incorrectly delivered, or otherwise non-conforming products, remain unaffected.

1.1 Digital Products

For successfully provided digital products, no additional voluntary right of withdrawal, return, or exchange is granted unless expressly agreed otherwise.

This applies in particular once the digital product or personal download link has been made available.

If you experience a technical problem with a download, please contact:

5LIBER-MANUFAKTUR
Markus Gerwig
Dammstrasse 29
3908 Saas-Balen
Switzerland

Email: fuenfliber@gmx.ch

1.2 Printed Books

For printed books delivered to customers in Switzerland, no voluntary return or exchange right is granted solely because the customer has changed their mind, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

This does not affect mandatory statutory rights relating to defective, damaged, incorrectly delivered, or otherwise non-conforming products.

If a printed book arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide the order number and, where helpful, photographs showing the problem.

Please do not return a printed book to Lulu, a printing facility, or another fulfillment provider unless we have specifically instructed you to do so.

2. CONSUMERS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

This section applies only where 5LIBER-MANUFAKTUR offers and concludes sales with consumers whose habitual residence is in the European Union and where the applicable consumer protection rules provide a right of withdrawal.

EU consumers generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason, unless a statutory exception applies.

Different rules apply depending on whether the purchase concerns physical goods or digital content.

3. PRINTED BOOKS – EU CONSUMERS

For contracts concerning printed books, the withdrawal period is generally 14 days from the day on which the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, receives the goods.

If several goods from one order are delivered separately, the withdrawal period may begin when the last relevant item is received, in accordance with applicable law.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must inform 5LIBER-MANUFAKTUR of the decision to withdraw before the withdrawal period expires.

A clear statement by email or in writing is sufficient.

Unless we have agreed to bear the return costs, the consumer bears the direct cost of returning goods where permitted by applicable law and where the consumer was properly informed of this obligation.

The consumer is responsible only for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods, where applicable under mandatory law.

Please contact us before returning a printed book so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

Do not send returns directly to Lulu or another printing or fulfillment provider unless we expressly instruct you to do so.

4. DIGITAL CONTENT – EU CONSUMERS

The e-books offered by 5LIBER-MANUFAKTUR are digital content supplied without a tangible medium.

For contracts concerning such digital content, the withdrawal period generally begins on the day the contract is concluded.

The right of withdrawal may cease once performance has begun if all statutory requirements for the loss of the right of withdrawal have been satisfied.

This includes, in particular, that before the digital content is provided, the consumer:

– expressly consented to performance beginning before the end of the withdrawal period;

– acknowledged that by giving such consent the consumer loses the right of withdrawal once performance begins in accordance with applicable law; and

– received the legally required confirmation of that consent and acknowledgement on a durable medium.

Where these requirements are fulfilled, 5LIBER-MANUFAKTUR may begin providing the digital product immediately after successful payment.

The consent and acknowledgement given during checkout may be documented together with the relevant order, including the date and time.

5. EXERCISING THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Where a statutory right of withdrawal still exists, the consumer must inform us of the decision to withdraw by means of an unequivocal statement.

The notice may be sent by email or in writing to:

5LIBER-MANUFAKTUR
Markus Gerwig
Dammstrasse 29
3908 Saas-Balen
Switzerland

Email: fuenfliber@gmx.ch

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for the consumer to send the notice of withdrawal before the applicable withdrawal period has expired.

The consumer may use the model withdrawal form below, but use of the form is not mandatory.

6. EFFECTS OF A VALID WITHDRAWAL

Where a consumer validly exercises a statutory right of withdrawal, we will reimburse payments that must be refunded under applicable law.

Where EU consumer protection law applies, reimbursement will generally be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of the consumer's decision to withdraw.

For contracts involving physical goods, we may, where permitted by applicable law, withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until the consumer provides evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever occurs first.

Where required by applicable EU law, reimbursement also includes the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered by us. Additional costs resulting from the consumer choosing a more expensive delivery method do not have to be reimbursed to the extent permitted by law.

We will generally use the same means of payment used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise.

The consumer will not be charged additional fees for the reimbursement itself.

7. RETURNING PRINTED PRODUCTS

Before returning a printed product, please contact us at:

fuenfliber@gmx.ch

Please include:

– your name;

– your order number;

– the product concerned;

– the reason for the return where relevant;

– photographs where the product is damaged, defective, or incorrect.

We will then provide the appropriate return instructions where a return is required.

Printed products may be produced and fulfilled through Lulu Direct or fulfillment providers associated with Lulu. The production or shipping address is not necessarily the correct address for customer returns.

For this reason, please do not send a return directly to Lulu or another fulfillment facility unless you have received specific return instructions from us.

8. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

If a printed book arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or otherwise does not conform to the contract, please contact us promptly.

Please provide the order number and, where possible, photographs showing the problem.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable mandatory law, an appropriate remedy may include replacement, correction, price reduction, or refund.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory statutory warranty, conformity, or consumer protection rights.

Technical problems with digital products should likewise be reported to us so that we can investigate the issue and, where possible, restore access to the purchased content.

9. MODEL WITHDRAWAL FORM FOR EU CONSUMERS

If you wish to withdraw from the contract, you may use the following form. Use of this form is not mandatory.

10. STATUTORY RIGHTS

Nothing in this Cancellation and Return Policy limits mandatory statutory warranty rights, rights relating to defects or non-conformity, or mandatory consumer protection rights.

Where mandatory laws of the consumer's country of residence or habitual residence apply and provide rights that cannot validly be excluded or restricted, those mandatory provisions take precedence over conflicting provisions of this policy.
